Taking Project Management off Your Hands

Along with the full development of your products, another important task we perform is the management of the various people and components that go into making your product successful. Most of these tasks are typically included in the full development of a product, but sometimes you just need someone to monitor the details to ensure that each stage remains on schedule and within budget.

Author Guidance – Sometimes authors just need a little help getting organized, staying on schedule, and implementing their revision/book plan. Others may need someone who can help answer the many questions that come up along the way or provide more involved support. Having a point person to contact for guidance means happier authors and better products.

Soliciting Supplement Authors – We acquire subject matter experts to author supplements to a main product. We provide them with the necessary materials and guidance, and we monitor their work through to their submission of the final product. Supplement authors may be solicited from a variety of sources—you may already keep a list of instructors who have expressed interest in authoring supplements, reviewers may exhibit potential, or we can do the research necessary to find them.

Supplement Management – Whether a main author is writing his or her own supplements or it will be done by an outside subject matter expert, we provide guidance throughout the project to keep them on the right track. With the wide range of print and electronic supplements now offered by publishers, many authors first need assistance familiarizing themselves with the nature and format of the supplements they are creating. We help interpret publishers’ guidelines, standards, and templates to keep the product within the required parameters.

Copyediting – We work with several stateside professional copyeditors who are ready to work on your project. From small pamphlets to full textbook copyedits, we have the person you need for the job.
